Barbara Taylor

Barbara Taylor  is a self-taught artist based in Ipswich, Queensland, working from her home studio, Belle Maison Art. Her body of work spans a variety of subjects, including landscapes, seascapes, florals, fashion, and portraits, all presented with a distinctive blend of traditional and contemporary styles.

Inspired by the natural beauty of Australia and the diverse cultures and landscapes of the countries she has lived in and visited, her work captures the essence of both familiar and faraway places. She primarily works with acrylic on stretched canvas but is equally skilled in pen and ink as well as pastels on paper.

With years of experience, Barbara has sold her work privately to a dedicated clientele. From 2007 to 2011, she was commissioned by a real estate agent to create unique pieces as client gifts. Additionally, her fashion and beauty-themed artworks have been featured in beauty and nail salons across Queensland.

Currently, Barbara continues to sell her work both privately and through respected galleries such as Art West Community Gallery in Brisbane and Arts Connect in Ipswich. Her art, driven by a passion for creativity, is aimed at bringing joy and inspiration to others.
